Find-A-Spec was founded in 2006 to provide complete and accurate new home data to the Real Estate community in an easy to use, up-to-date and free format. Over time we enrolled over 1,800 agents who were consistently using the site, and we were at one time promoting more than 1,000 completed inventory home by over 40 local builders.

In order to provide these free services to you, we have to rely heavily on the new home industry and more specifically the marketing personnel of the builders. As the new home industry continued to worsen, not only did the inventory levels go down, but the staff to maintain the data and the marketing budgets allotted to promote the inventory were also reduced significantly. Therefore, the opportunity to acquire advertisers from the new home industry and related services dwindled, and advertising is our main source of revenue. As a result, we have made the decision to close Find-A-Spec for a time, to allow the new home industry and related services to get back on track.

Our plan is to continue to pursue the enhancements already slated for the site and currently in production, so that we can return to you with the most state-of-the-art new home inventory search tool, at a time when the market will sustain it. We will ensure that you are aware of the time frame of reopening and assure you that when that time comes, the accuracy and completeness of the site will be that on which you have already grown to trust and rely.
